Sautéed Brussels Sprouts and Bell Pepper

When you use good ingredients, you don’t need much to make a delicious dish. This recipe is perfect for people who enjoy the natural flavor of their vegetables. The only spices I use here are salt and pepper. You don’t need to use more than that.

Preparation time: 35 minutes
Yields: 4 servings

Ingredients:

1lb/500gr Brussels sprouts
3 Bell peppers (any color)
3 tbsp oil
Salt and pepper

Preparation:

Remove ends of Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Place in a pot with about ½” of water.  Add salt, cover with a lid,  and steam on high heat for about 8-10 minutes – or until they are half cooked: when you can stab them with a fork easily, but they are not too soft that they mash.

Cut  peppers into long strips (Julienne). Place them in a wide pan with the half steamed Brussels sprouts, oil, add salt and pepper.  Sauté on medium high heat for about 15-20 minutes.
